UPDATE: Yamal–Europe gas pipe seen on tech maintenance until Sat

MOSCOW, Jul 6 (PRIME) -- MOSCOW, Jul 6 (PRIME) -- The Yamal–Europe gas pipeline, which serves for transit of Russian gas to Germany through Poland, will be stopped for planned technical maintenance from Monday until Saturday, gas transport operator Gascade receiving gas on the German territory, said on Monday.
Gas intake at the Mallnow station on the Poland–Germany border will be suspended from 6:00 a.m. local time on Monday and will be resumed at 6:00 a.m. on Saturday.
According to a report of Poland's pipeline system operator Gas-system, the capacity of Poland's segment of the Yamal–Europe gas pipeline was booked by 89%, or 34.04 million kilowatt-hours (kWh), for the next gas year, from October 1, 2020 until October 1, 2021. The capacity auction was held on Monday.
The contract on Russian gas transit across Poland expired on May 16, and since May 17, gas is pumped basing on the results of auctions. The auction for June booked 94% of the Yamal–Europe capacity. For July–September, 80% of the pipeline’s capacities have been booked.
